Zephyr Cafe

Since I haven't cooked in a while I don't have left-overs and have to resort to eating out. With the "$5 foot-long" deal going on at Subway, a sandwich was a cheap and filling alternative to the Spicy Picante Shim Bowl. So I decided to explore around downtown Long Beach to find some good and inexpensive food. A couple blocks away from my office I saw a Vegan cafe, I parked my bike, and walked right in.

Fajitas de Pollo Asado

I think it has been 7 days since my last post and I think I cooked once in that time. I've probably eaten Shim Bowl like 5 times, FML! I need to cook more! Laziness is such a terrible thing... I hate you Shim Bowl!!!!! Today however, we went over to my friends apartment for some chicken fajitas. The chicken with wild rosemary isn't exaclty Pollo Asado, but it was still the best thing I have eaten in like a week. Plus, who says a little experimentation and using our resources efficiently is a bad thing?

College Food

So I just moved into my own apartment and I have to say I really miss the dorms. Living without the convenient Mesa Commons a minute walk away makes me realize how really easy i had it (I know this is cliche but whatever) and jeez there are alot of chores to do! Cleaning dishes, mopping the floor, the list can go on and on. I don't even want to know what it will be like cleaning the bathroom when my housemates move in... Anyway, being that I now must cook for myself on a daily basis to survive and some days I come home and feel really lazy, this is how I indulge in fine dining.

Quesadilla, Bowl of ramen with egg and rice, Mickey Mouse Chicken Nuggets: Nom*

Bowl of ramen, Onion Rings, Potstickers: Nom*

* denotes should be rated a "No" but on the count that I was too lazy to cook real food, I had an amazing pot-luck lunch at work, and it filled me up, it is rated a "Nom".
